Columbian Rock

Columbian Rock chickens were recognized as a distinct breed and admitted to the American Standard of Perfection in 1910. The Columbian Rock chicken is great for both eggs and meat. They lay large brown eggs and this color variety of the Plymouth Rock chicken is hard to find and our bloodline should show well at poultry shows. A classic American poultry heritage breed that grandma and grandpa would have on the farm!

About Your Ship Date:

We will email a ship date to you within 5 days of placing your order. Your chicks will arrive 1 to 3 days after that ship date. You should receive a phone call from your local post office upon delivery and we recommend you pick them up immediately upon notification.

Live Chick Guarantee

We guarantee your ordered number of birds arrive healthy and true to breed. Please contact us immediately should any losses or variances to your order occur, this guarantee is only for the safe and live delivery of your poultry. Any loss must be reported to Chickens for Backyards within 3 days of receipt for any adjustment to be made. Re-shipments are subject to availability and minimum shipping requirements. If eligible, we will reship only once. Reimbursements are limited to the cost of the birds and will not include shipping charges.

Cancellations & Changes

A minimum of two-week notice before your ship date must be given to cancel or change a live chick order.
